Wiesbaden Art House Hosts Anti-Discrimination Comic Workshop
The Wiesbaden Art House is set to host a unique webtoon workshop on Monday, June 23, 2025, from 9:00 to 15:00. This creative event, funded by 'Democracy lives in Wiesbaden' and the 'Intercultural Forum Wiesbaden e. V', aims to empower young people to express their views on discrimination through comics. Led by local comic artist Valentin Krayl, the workshop encourages participants to develop their own comic stories, focusing on taking a stance rather than technical drawing skills. The event is free and open to school classes from the 7th grade onwards, taking place at the Wiesbaden Art House, Schulberg 10, 65183 Wiesbaden. The workshop is part of the ongoing exhibition 'I will not be silent! Drawn memory in comics'. It will include discussions and support from renowned comic artists such as Hannah Brinkmann, Tobi Dahmen, Nora Krug, and Birgit Weyhe. The comics created during the workshop will serve as powerful voices against discrimination, ensuring that these important messages will no longer be ignored.
