A new Turkish food and coffee spot, Ananas Coffee, has opened its doors in downtown Walnut Creek, California. Located at 1372 North Main Street, the café occupies the former space of CREAM and is owned by Chris Butler.
Ananas Coffee serves a variety of Turkish coffee, smoothies, food, and Middle Eastern sweets. Their Turkish coffee is renowned for its strength and intensity, served in a traditional white China cup. Alongside this, customers can enjoy sweet treats like baklava, which is drizzled with honey and topped with ground pistachios, and American classics such as banana bread and brownies.
The café's interior is small, light, and airy, with a white color scheme and a bar seating area. Currently, the food menu includes avocado toast, breakfast sandwiches, and smoothies, with a focus on Californian dishes. In the future, Ananas Coffee plans to expand its breakfast offerings to include more substantial food options. The café sources its coffee from Zolo Coffee Roasters, a local chain.
