Top-Notch Accommodations Across the Globe Instantly Piquing Our Interest, No Bookings Needed
This month's new hotel openings are focusing on providing guests with more than just a place to rest their heads. Wellness is a top priority, with many hotels combining traditional therapies, cutting-edge technology, and high-tech biohacking to create the ultimate wellness packages. Here are some of the best new hotels that caught our attention this month:
Aliée Istanbul, Turkey
Located in Istanbul's Beyoglu district, Aliée Istanbul is housed in a historic building that was once the Ottoman Aynalıkavak Pavilion and a key shipyard. Design duo Dayna Lee and Ted Berner have transformed the property with their cinematic vision, featuring 122 guest rooms adorned with handwoven silk Turkish rugs, bespoke bas-relief headboards, and carved marble sinks. The hotel offers an impressive list of facilities, including the Aliée Swim Club, boasting an Olympic-sized pool and views of the Bosphorus, and The Well + Spa at Aliée, which combines traditional therapies with modern technology.
Mondrian Gold Coast, Australia
The Mondrian brand has made its Australian debut with the Mondrian Gold Coast, located in Burleigh Heads. The 24-story property offers breathtaking views of the iconic surf spot Burleigh Beach. The design features warm hues of sand and terracotta, with layers of textures and forms adding interest to the neutral palette. Dining options include LiTO, serving Italian fare, and Haven, an oceanfront restaurant and pool club that champions local produce. The Ciel Spa offers a range of beauty techniques, traditional spa treatments, a fitness room, and magnesium-rich pools.
Sixty DC, Washington, USA
Sixty DC, located in Washington's Dupont Circle, is the latest addition to hotelier Jason Pomeranc's Sixty collection. The interiors are inspired by the building's Bauhaus and mid-century modern influences, with touches of Scandinavian design, herringbone oak floors, burnt orange leather headboards, and forest green armchairs. The Mediterranean restaurant Casamara and the Reynold's bar, hidden behind its own separate entrance, draw in both guests and locals.
Sonolux, Montreal, Canada
Sonolux, Quebec's first immersive art hotel, is housed in a neoclassical building transformed by Geiger Huot and Zabb Design. The hotel features 36 rooms that serve as galleries, with rotating exhibitions overseen by the PHI Foundation's Cheryl Sim. Chef Graham Hood brings a Japanese-inspired menu to Lumi, while Juno nominee DJ Fred Everything curates performances at Subterra.
Vestige Son Ermità & Binidufà, Menorca, Spain
The Madera Fernández family has opened twin refuges, Vestige Son Ermità and Vestige Binidufà, nestled within an 800-hectare Menorcan playground. Each property features restored ancient arches, handcrafted doors, and exposed ceiling beams. Gastronomy takes two delicious paths, with Son Ermità's Brisa offering French-inflected Menorcan fine dining, while Binidufà's Mesura serves Middle Eastern-inspired, plant-forward cuisine. Guests also have access to nearly 5 km of private coastline lined with secluded coves.
