The Mutant Dinosaur in Jurassic World Rebirth Depicts an Absolutely Terrifying Appearance
In the aftermath of the disastrous "Jurassic World: Locust Invasion", revitalizing the Jurassic franchise required some serious inspiration. It appears that "Jurassic World Rebirth" might just be the remedy we needed. The latest trailer hints at this summer's seventh film taking place on the very island where the unfit and dangerous dinosaurs were left, left over from John Hammond's team, after the original park. Given that we know what happened to the less dangerous dinosaurs, this setting is downright chilling.
One of the most intriguing aspects of the trailer is the apparent main antagonist - a cursed dino-mutation. In an interview with Vanity Fair, director Gareth Edwards, who has already delved into the monster realm with Godzilla and Darth Vader, offered a glimpse into this new creature. "When you create a creature, you have a massive cauldron," he said. "You throw in your favorite monsters from films and books. Some Rancor went in there, some H.R. Giger went in there, a little T-Rex went in there..." So, is he implying that there's a T-Rex-inspired dinosaur with Rancor-like features and Xenomorph-like movements? Yes, it seems so. Here are a few brief glimpses of it.
This creature, whatever it's called, appears to have a Rancor-like head and face, a Giger Alien-like movement, and a T-Rex's sheer size. Although, these are just snapshots from the trailer. It's also important to note that this isn't the only dinosaur in the trailer, with Velociraptors, Dilophosaurs, Mosasaurs, and other fan favorites making an appearance, along with some new species.
If "Jurassic World Rebirth" manages to deliver even a fraction of the fright and intensity displayed in the trailer, we might soon forget about "Dominion". It hits theaters on July 2.
