Kazakhstan Media Contest Marks 10 Years with Global Winners

The 10th anniversary of the 'Kazakhstan Through the Eyes of Foreign Media' contest was celebrated with an awards ceremony hosted by Kazakhstan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs. This year saw over 100 participants from more than 30 countries, showcasing diverse aspects of the nation's culture, economy, and development.

Since its inception in 2014, the contest has grown into a respected international platform. It recognises journalists who promote Kazakhstan's story to global audiences. This year's winners include Matthew Fitzgerald (USA), who explored Kazakhstan's growing investment in tennis, and Muhammad Ali Pasha (Pakistan), who highlighted the digital transformation of the country and the role of Astana Hub in opening opportunities for international partnerships.

Other winners are Derya Soysal (Belgium) for her work on Kazakhstan's economy, Akpanbetova Arukhan (Uzbekistan) for her cultural and historical insights, and Marianna Mkrtchian (Armenia) for her tourism piece on Burabay National Park. Soysal praised Kazakhstan's role as a bridge between Europe and Asia, while Mkrtchian described Burabay as a breathtaking inspiration.

The contest, now in its 10th year, continues to foster cultural exchange and understanding. This year's winners' works highlight Kazakhstan's diversity and global success, bringing nations closer through trust and mutual appreciation.
