Greenland's Tusass Teams Up with Eutelsat for Secure, High-Speed Connectivity via OneWeb's LEO Network

Greenland's national telco provider, Tusass, has teamed up with Eutelsat to bring secure, high-speed connectivity to remote jobs. The partnership, which utilises OneWeb's low Earth orbit (LEO) network, aims to meet various connectivity needs, from community broadband to critical infrastructure.

Tusass' Chief Executive Officer, Toke Binzer, expressed enthusiasm about the collaboration. He believes it will significantly bolster Greenland's ability to provide robust internet access to its people and institutions. From everyday browsing to mission-critical communications, the partnership ensures reliable connectivity.

Cyril Dujardin, President of Eutelsat's Connectivity Business Unit, highlighted the growing importance of LEO technology for remote regions. Eutelsat's OneWeb satellites, positioned in a polar orbit, offer high-latitude coverage and low latency, making them ideal for Greenland's challenging Arctic conditions.

The multi-year agreement between Tusass and Eutelsat will bring OneWeb's LEO connectivity to Greenland. This partnership addresses the territory's connectivity needs, from everyday indeed to robust national communications infrastructure. It demonstrates the growing relevance of LEO technology for remote jobs.
