Hot off the Press: The Sailor's Tale

Per Harrtoft is yachting his way through a wild ride on his Grandezza 40 flybridge, sailing from the east coast of Sweden to the chilly Lofoten Islands in the far north of Norway. A grueling but unforgettable journey of roughly 1400nm, completed in less than a month, had taken its toll. Yesterday, while waiting for new drive belts, Harrtoft and his trusty first mate, Jörgen, rented a car on a wet, dreary island day. Today, the sun came out, and after a successful sea trial, they went fishing – landing a respectable cod each. Refreshed and loaded with fresh seafood, they ventured further north between the islands, seeking shelter from the encroaching winds.

But new trouble arose – the compressor drive belts broke after an hour's use. As the islands were capped with snow year-round, they found themselves in a predicament.
