European authorities have released plans for the development of the continent's rail system.
On Sunday, April 23, the 17th charity run "Landshut Runs" organised by the Landshut-Wittelsbach Lions Club will take place in the city. Due to this event, several changes will be made to the city's bus lines.
The old town between the Post Square and the Spiegelgasse will be closed from approximately 7 am to 6 pm. As a result, access to the resident parking zones Untere Laendgasse and Grasgasse will be restricted or partially unavailable on the event day. Traffic coming from Kupfereck will be directed through the pedestrian zone via Spiegelgasse and Neustadt.
For those using public transportation, bus lines 2, 3, 5, and 7/7A will follow designated detour routes due to the charity run closure. Specifically, line 2 will run from Post Square to Am Alten Viehmarkt, Hofberg tunnel, Laendtorplatz/ Stadttheater, Klinikum Hauptbahnhof, and back, with regular stops. Line 3 will run from Auloh to Messepark, Niedermayerstraße, Post square, Bismarckplatz, Hauptbahnhof, and back. Line 5 will run from Moniberg to Niedermayerstraße, Am Alten Viehmarkt, Post square, Bismarckplatz, Hauptbahnhof, and back to Zweibrückenstraße, Post square, Am Alten Viehmarkt, and Moniberg. Line 7/7A will run from Mitterwoehr to Isargestrasse, Post square, Niedermayerstraße, Hagrain, Hofberg, Englberg, Innere Stelze, Kupfereck, Graetzberg, Obere Altstadt, and back.
Line 6 will run from Auwaldsiedlung to Niedermayerstraße, Post square, Bismarckplatz, Seligenthaler Straße, Hauptbahnhof, and back to Eugenbach. Line 12 will only run to or from the Post Square. Lines 1, 4, 8, 9, 10, 11, and evening lines will not be affected by the charity run closure.
Access will be possible for authorized vehicles up to Herrngasse. Traffic from Podewilsstraße/Am Alten Viehmarkt will be rerouted via the Post Square towards Zweibrückenstraße. Traffic from Zweibrückenstraße will be rerouted via the Post Square and Podewilsstraße to the Hofberg tunnel.
Event participants can park at the parking lot of the German Pension Insurance on Isargestrasse, among other places. It is advised that during peak hours, drivers consider leaving their cars at home and using public transportation or alternative routes to avoid the city center.
