Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort and Campground: A Unique Stay at Disney World

Each site includes a charcoal grill, picnic table, cold water tap, TV and electrical hook-ups, and free Wi-Fi. The campsites range from 10 by 25 feet to 18 by 60 feet.
The campground is filled with amenities for all ages. There are playgrounds, arcades, jogging trails, basketball and volleyball courts, and swimming pools with slides. For the little ones, there's Chip 'n Dale's Campfire Sing-Along, a free outdoor movie screening event.
Transportation
Getting around Fort Wilderness is easy with Disney’s internal bus system, the dedicated boat launch to Magic Kingdom, and personal or rideshare vehicles for direct and quicker access to other locations. The free Disney buses serve the resort internally and connect to theme parks, water parks, and Disney Springs. The boat ferry to the Magic Kingdom offers a scenic and direct route, but can fill up quickly in the morning and may suspend service during thunderstorms. Driving your own vehicle or using Uber/Lyft is often quicker, especially when traveling to parks other than Magic Kingdom or to other resorts.
Exclusive Experiences
Fort Wilderness is also home to the Tri-Circle-D Ranch, where the Magic Kingdom's horses dwell. Carriage rides, horseback trail rides, wagon rides, and pony rides can be reserved or walked-in for at the ranch. Don't miss the Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue, one of America's longest-running dinner shows, celebrating its 50th anniversary in 2024.
The campground also offers unique experiences like the Fort Wilderness Archery Experience, allowing guests to engage in non-threatening target practice with a bow and arrow. In December, sleigh rides are available, and guests can watch Disney's Electrical Water Pageant from the campground at night.
Fort Wilderness is pet-friendly, and guests can buy groceries for their RV kitchen at one of the campground's two trading posts, situated in its Meadow and Settlement areas. The Chuck Wagon food truck sells s'mores kits for guests to enjoy.
Reservations and Pricing
Reservations for Fort Wilderness can be made up to 499 days in advance. As of 2026, RVers can expect to pay anywhere between $125 and $313 a night for one. Please note that the maximum number of guests per campsite will be reset to 8 in 2026 from the current 10.
