Direct Flight Service Established Between Fortaleza and Lisbon
In an effort to further facilitate access to the region of Ceará, a new joint advertising campaign has been launched. The campaign, supported by the government of the state of Ceará and the Northeast Consortium, aims to position Fortaleza as a central hub for the northeast of Brazil.
The Fortaleza Airport (Pinto Martins – Fortaleza International Airport) is at the heart of this campaign. Operated by Fraport AG, a German airport management company that runs several international airports, including partnerships and concessions in Brazil, the airport is poised to take on a significant role in the region's travel industry.
Portugal, traditionally the country from which the most international tourists travel to Ceará, plays a crucial part in this campaign. As a significant hub in Europe, Portugal is expected to be a key player in attracting more tourists to Fortaleza.
Marcelo Freixo, President of Embratur, the Brazilian Tourism Board, expressed his enthusiasm for the campaign, stating that they want to inspire more international travelers for Brazil with this initiative.
Astrid Röben, a renowned journalist with over 20 years of experience, is a regular contributor to various magazines, primarily covering airlines, airports, and travel stories. Her extensive knowledge and passion for the industry make her an invaluable asset to this campaign. Röben has published several books with the Geramond Verlag, including "The Great Book of Airlines", "The Joy of Flying", and "Thai Airways - From Small Domestic Flight Service to Member of the Star Alliance".
LATAM and Embratur have joined forces for this campaign, targeting European travel markets. The goal is to highlight the new connection at Fortaleza Airport, making it an appealing destination for international travellers.
With this campaign, the region of Ceará and Fortaleza Airport are set to welcome more tourists, further boosting the local economy and showcasing the beauty and richness of the northeast of Brazil.
