Detmold's Autumn Holidays Bring Free Creative Workshops for Teens

Detmold's autumn holidays bring a vibrant array of free creative workshops for 10 to 14-year-olds, funded by the Ministry of Culture and Science and the Ministry for Children, Youth, Family, Equality, Flight and Integration of North Rhine-Westphalia. Young participants can explore their artistic sides in various disciplines, from dance to design, led by experienced professionals.

The programme offers a diverse range of workshops, each led by skilled artists, designers, or lecturers. Kids can delve into comic creation, crafting intricate designs with the help of experienced comic artists. Those interested in jewellery making can try their hand at goldsmithing, guided by seasoned artisans. For budding fashion designers, sewing workshops provide an introduction to creating bags, cushions, and scrunchies, led by patient and knowledgeable tutors.

Dance enthusiasts can look forward to choreography sessions, where they'll learn to express themselves through movement under the guidance of professional dance instructors. The 'I Want to Dance!' workshop requires direct registration with Domizil via email or phone, while others can be booked online through pretix.eu/stadtdetmold/kulturrucksack.

These free workshops, running from October 13 to 17, 2025, offer young participants practical cultural experiences and the chance to create unique works, choreographies, or objects. They are an excellent opportunity for children to explore their creativity and gain new skills in a supportive environment.
