Celebrating Youth Day, a Town's Mural Refresh in Denia
The Casal Jove, a dynamic and inclusive youth centre, is set to open its doors in September, but the pre-launch programme has already begun. Located at the Joventut Denia building on Ronda Murallas 42, this space is designed for young people aged 12 to 30 and offers a range of activities that reflect their interests, creativity, and voice.
From August 8 to 10, young winners of the local urban muralism competition will paint five large-scale murals inside and outside the Casal Jove, adding a splash of colour and creativity to the venue. On August 7, a collective workshop will be held to restore and revitalize the murals on the Casal Jove building's facade.
The highlight of the pre-launch programme is the International Youth Day celebration on Saturday, August 9. From 5 pm, the day will feature water inflatables, games, and outdoor fun, providing a day of entertainment for young people. From 7.30 pm to 10 pm, there will be a Zone Arcade & Gaming event with retro consoles, simulators, and tournaments. The night will close with a discomóvil party from 10.30 pm to 1.30 am, featuring a live DJ and alcohol-free drinks.
In addition to these special events, the Casal Jove will offer year-round workshops, training sessions, open mic events, and many other youth-led initiatives. The venue will also include areas for study, reading, leisure, and artistic expression. All activities at the Casal Jove are free and open to young people aged 12 to 30.
