Blue Yonder Acquires One Network for Real-Time Supply Chain Boost
Blue Yonder has acquired digital supply chain network provider One Network, aiming to bolster its offerings in real-time planning, execution, and monitoring of business processes. The takeover, expected to complete in Q2 or Q3 2024, follows Blue Yonder's acquisition of Flexis earlier this year and comes ahead of the Automotive Logistics and Supply Chain Digital Strategies North America conference in Nashville, Tennessee, on June 26-27, 2024.
One Network's technology, used in various sectors including automotive manufacturing and logistics, enables real-time visibility across the supply chain. Combined with Blue Yonder's platforms, it will offer comprehensive planning, execution, commerce, and network services. The acquisition was not publicly announced in Q2 or Q3 of this year, subject to regulatory or shareholder approval.
Blue Yonder's vice-president of manufacturing, Gabriel Werner, sees the potential of AI in transforming supply chains and logistics. One Network's founder and chairman, Greg Brady, emphasizes the need for a unified platform enabling multi-tier orchestration and collaboration. Duncan Angove, Blue Yonder's CEO, cites increased global sourcing and disruptions as drivers for more resilient supply chains.
The acquisition of One Network by Blue Yonder is set to enhance real-time planning, execution, and monitoring of business processes along the supply chain. With the takeover expected to complete in the next quarter or two, the combined platforms aim to provide real-time visibility from raw material suppliers to OEM customers and carriers.
