Berlin's Ku'damm & Tauentzienstraße to Shine Bright This Christmas
Berlin's iconic Ku'damm and Tauentzienstraße are set to sparkle again this Christmas. While the exact date for the 2025 lighting installation is yet to be confirmed, the festive illuminations are expected to start late November, coinciding with the opening of Christmas markets. Lasting until just before Christmas, the lights will transform the three-kilometre stretch between Wittenbergplatz and Leibnizstraße.
Every year, around 500 festively decorated trees line the boulevard, with notable illuminated attractions such as the Nutcracker at Brandenburgische Straße, the snowman at the Europa-Center, and the Buddy Bear at Halensee. The two 20-meter-high entrance portals with stars and a Christmas tree on the median are also regular features. Despite the traditional elements, the design of the 2025 Christmas lights on Ku'damm remains a mystery.
As the Advent season approaches, Berliners and visitors alike can look forward to the enchanting Christmas lights on Ku'damm and Tauentzienstraße. While the specifics of the 2025 design are yet to be revealed, the illuminations promise to create a magical atmosphere, enhancing the festive spirit in the City West.
