Flight 704, headed towards Los Angeles, diverted to Grand Junction, Colorado, due to the passenger's agitated behaviour, racist slurs, and skateboard waving.
The unruly passenger, who was intoxicated, posed a threat to the flight's safety and crew. Despite being restrained twice by airline staff, the passenger managed to break free both times. A physical altercation ensued, resulting in minor injuries to one passenger and a flight attendant. However, police reports did not confirm any formal record of injuries.
Upon landing in Grand Junction, the unruly passenger was taken into custody by the Grand Junction police, acting under the direction of the FBI. The passenger was later held at the Mesa County Detention Facility.
