Air Canada Ups In-Flight Experience: Free Beer, Wine, Snacks on All Flights

Air Canada has announced a significant upgrade to its in-flight offerings, now providing complimentary beer, wine, and snacks on all flights, including those to Mexico and the Caribbean. This move sets it apart from many other airlines, particularly budget carriers like Ryanair and easyJet, and is part of the airline's renewed focus on passenger experience.

Previously, free meals were only available on long-haul international flights, with passengers having to purchase food on shorter routes. Now, Air Canada passengers can enjoy a range of complimentary snacks and drinks regardless of flight duration or destination. Morning flights feature a variety of options, including MadeGood Mornings Cinnamon Bun Soft Baked Oat Bars, TWIGZ Craft Pretzels, Leclerc's Celebration Cookies, and Greenhouse Ginger Defence Wellness Shots on certain routes after 10 a.m.

In addition to these culinary enhancements, Air Canada has also introduced Heineken 0.0, a non-alcoholic beer, on all its flights. This makes it the only North American airline, besides Southwest, to offer this beverage onboard. Other upgrades include a revamped app, expanded entertainment options, and refurbished lounges, all aimed at improving the overall passenger experience. Air Canada's Aeroplan loyalty programme has also been enhanced to offer seamless intermodal travel on a single ticket and free high-speed Wi-Fi for members.

These changes reflect Air Canada's commitment to enhancing the onboard experience for all passengers. While some US full-service carriers like Delta and American Airlines still offer complimentary packaged snacks and soft drinks, many budget airlines like Spirit and Frontier charge for almost everything, including water and alcoholic drinks. Air Canada's new offerings set it apart in the North American market, providing a more comprehensive and inclusive travel experience for its passengers.
