18 Basque Students Arrive in Pforzheim for Cultural Exchange

Eighteen students from Seber Altube Ikastola School in Gernika, Basque Country, arrived in Pforzheim on October 5, 2018. They were greeted by Mayor Peter Boch at the New Town Hall, marking the start of a week-long cultural exchange.

The visit is part of a long-standing partnership between Pforzheim and Gernika. The Basque students will spend a week in the city, immersing themselves in its culture and history.

They began their stay with a warm welcome from Mayor Boch. During their time here, they will explore the Technical Museum and test their courage at the climbing garden. The students also left their mark in the city's guestbook.

The young visitors are enrolled at Seber Altube Ikastola School. They will spend their days at Hilda Gymnasium, experiencing the German education system firsthand.

The exchange programme aims to provide new experiences and cultural learning for both Pforzheim and Gernika students. The Basque students' visit is a testament to the strong bond between the two cities, fostering understanding and friendship through education and cultural immersion.
